A to Z for Kids' Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Program (VPK) is a high quality prekindergarten that offers learning opportunities for all of Florida's 4-year old children. A to Z's curriculum and teaching staff meet the state's standards and has been approved to participate in this statewide program. In order for your child to participate in this program, you must register with the state. There is no fee for this program, however if you choose to have wrap-around care, you will be charged the appropriate fee. Field trips are occasionally scheduled with parent/guardian permission in writing.
Our VPK program is designed to help the child be ready for the Kindergarten experience. During the VPK program, the child’s circle time learning will be expanded and they will learn to count to 100 by 1’s, 100 by 10’s as well as other multiples of addition. The children will also start learning the letters of the alphabet, the days of the week, the months of the year and the seasons. To help them gain a better understanding of the different seasons, our Art’s and Craft’s program is tailored towards the different seasons of the year. The children will also start to learn other items to help prepare them for kindergarten, like the Presidents of the United States, and they will recite these items for the parents at their graduation.
